don’t forget the other bunch of ‘heroes’ that kill everyone they see because they’re bored lol.
(they don’t understand that other games exist for that)

Oh no, you get to sit in jail after causing chaos for 25 hours :sob: game absolutely ruined.

I have listened to everything you’ve said.

The shit?
You seek to reduce the whole concept of heroes to people who increase a number, I’ve explained that there are people who seek more than just another pvp odyssey game, it’s why the jail exists in the first fucking place.
It IS flawed, but the removal would cause unbelievable losses to the game as a whole.

If you want a game like AC without it’s key features, such as perusing safety then look to literally any other odyssey title, or make your own fucking game at that point.
They are not rooted in my “delusions” they are rooted in the people I’ve met who seek this title as it enabled them to experience doing good in more ways than increasing a number.

How about this. You commit crimes for 50 days. In response the Gravy knocks you out and then arrests you for 10 minutes. Here’s a better idea. How about you get fucking executed on the spot for being a menace? That’s a much better lore reason than being put in “fuck you no fun allowed”. But instead, the Gravy arrests you and then forces you to wait 10 minutes for the exact same thing.

Not only does it remove fun for the person you hunted, what kind of fucking idiot would find joy in “I’m keeping Lego City safe!” instead of “This was a well earned victory!”. You even call “jail time” a ISSUE that NEEDS FIXING.

You see, if this suggestion were to go through, there would be far more bounty players. Why? Because it becomes fun and enjoyable. You haven’t had to fight 4 majors only for 3 more to flank you. You know what that is? It’s fucking horrible. No one enjoys that. If a “large chunk” of the player base really had fun in placing someone in a 10 minute timeout, then I have lost faith in this community. You lose nothing upon the removal of the jail system. Unless you get some sort of enjoyment from “haha you go to jail and I laugh” (Which is a problem in of itself) I see no reason for you to defend Jail as a system. The Jail system harms the game. There’s a reason why people don’t enjoy villain files. This is the reason you either get a server full of high fame players or a server with a 50/50 split. Your solution is to keep it in the game. I don’t believe I need to explain.

In conclusion, you are delusional. Jail is a feature that should be removed due to the fact it has little to no impact on the game apart from creating another way to increase renown for bounty players as well as being a unfun mechanic. With villains already being unfun to play, there is not a singular reason to not remove jail other than adding “realism”, and if you want to argue in favorof realism, you must understand that there is a point where you need to stop.

Huh? I believe that I’ve made it clear that the issue with removing jails would be that it would reduce the point of being a “Hero” from making the seas safer to getting a number up, and generally make it less fun for a large chunk of the player base, not with pvp.

THANK YOU.
SOMEBODY ELSE SEES THROUGH THIS BULLSHIT.

what is this great wall of text

delusional madman thinks bounty hunters and navy players hunt people to keep the war seas safe from criminals.

thats legit me :sob:

believes that prison makes the game more fun and rewarding.

oh man my favourite mechanic! the removal of fun.

ok how does jail make the game fun, unless your doing a sleepover with the homies

I know right?
I’m nearly on my 17th hour of doing nothing!!!

oh man i cant wait for my 10 minute timer to end so i can lose like 400 galleons from execution

he’s never played a villain file ever and seems to not understand that villain players aren’t NPCs.

real talk though.
silverhold has to have the worst rate of escapees of any prison ever.
why don’t they just get to the point and have some on site executioners.

“Finally, I managed to hunt down that criminal, so happy he’ll be digitally executed and then he’ll just kill even more people to get his vengeance.”

To pursue safety for those on the war seas is a fun experience, that’s the core part of being a hero for the people that you seem to refuse acknowledge exist.
I currently think that the jail is too extreme, which cause frustration with it and basically leads to insane forum posts like these.

Bounty hunting would simply become a number game, very many people enjoy games where you make a number go up, AC is one of the rare titles in which this isn’t the case however, you can actually hunt someone down and make the server safer.

Ultimately, the jail is a crucial feature of the game since it enables people to bring safety to others on the sea, instead of just increasing a number.

Also, don’t take into account realism, I take into account what makes AC such a unique and fun title.

How.
How can you be THIS delusional?

If you want to bring safety to the war seas, do what other people have done and suggest a different pvp requirement.
like 10 levels apart from whoever you’re fighting.

No, but you seem to think that this group of players doesn’t exist and shouldn’t be acknowledged.

And the rest of your replies include some great arguments for changes that are needed in the jail system.

Huh? The point isn’t to make the developers add features that makes people safe, the point is to promote keeping others safe, to give a reason why people would go out of their way to do so.

You’re right.
I will NOT acknowledge the people who play the game exclusively to make the game worse for another group of players as respectable people.
Yourself included.

This group of people who go out of their way to fight those who do evil do so to enable others to be safe, of course it’s a shame that someone need to be killed, but it’s better than five others being killed since nothing was done about the issue.
