if poison is only viable with specific second magic or teams, then it fails as a stand-alone or viable by itself

Again I say, Ash suffers from this on a whole other magnitude from Poison

ash has more impact damage, which effectively fixes the issues i’m bringing up.
poison loses that damage heavily with the lowered impact damage/low dot

Even thought poison has better overall multiplier, ash has more impact damage. So in the long run, it will in fact do more damage than poison if you have enough power.

Poison’s effect is double damage, you’d need to hit someone with Ash 8 times within 20 seconds in order to surpass Poison in the long run, which doesn’t sound like much but with the amount of time PvP takes that’s a lot. If you could hit and 800 HP target 8 times within 20 seconds dealing 130 per hit the fight would be over in those 20 seconds and yes regen was factored into that. So in the long run Poison would still actually be winning. And as said in this conversation the tick damage won’t be a primary factor, though I do think it will make SOME impact as I will explain later.
