Oh my god the irony of this man…
No, I’m just “supporting” your idea ;p
that video is two minutes long
This is so amazing fr
After all, your the one who said fast travel should be a thing, did you not?
I’m not suggesting fast travel being overpowered.
2 and a half minutes with the second slowest boat in the game is not that long of a trip
Towns in the Dark Sea isn’t even a thing, this isn’t even an ingame feature my guy.
imagine being a new player exposed to a new genre + no self marker from the map
But there will be islands, so why not have a fast travel there?
except for the part where there is a tutorial popup for sailing on multiple occasions and there is a marker for quite literally everything story-related
Make a new file character, redo the entire storyline, without any help. That’s the best explanation I have.
truly an arcane odyssey
takes 4 hours bro LOL
Put away the attitude. If people want to PLAY the game, they should not be restricted on Vessel/wind/whatever. You are locked out of a lot of content at that level. So my friends and I sailed to Palo town. 2 Minutes.
Picked up a quest to go to limestone.
3 minutes.
Sailed back
4 minutes. The time. Adds. Up. You gotta THINK about why that is frustrating man. You can’t just say “Oh I’m just so much more patient”. No, the flow and fun of the game can be totally killed for people in those early moments. All you’re doing is just letting your boat drift somewhere-
It’s boring, to a lot of people. “Do you not have patience” Is not an argument? It’s not a counterpoint. All it proves is that you don’t understand why this is a problem for other people.
This is also not to even consider time lost by new players who don’t know where to go. This poor guy probably lost triple this time because he was trying to find the next place to go to get quests.
Casual players don’t know everything about the game, that’s what I’m trying to say. Their first impressions are going to be very negative.
gah damn my meal is done and its STILL going
Whatchu eat.
Get a dessert
this is genuinely entirely a problem of attention span. take in the atmosphere and the beautiful visuals. go fight some pirates. pick up some castaways and cargo. like gdamn appreciate the game instead of whining about “ooooh no this 2 minute journey is too long! it just adds up too much!”
