It’s hot garbage, I can’t pay attention to anything and now I have 40 questions to do over the weekend. Legit who the hell cares about factoring quadratic equations and other sh*t, i’m not going into advanced math

honestly most of what we learn is really trash, and the school system doesn’t take in the details of what a student is good at in their talents, and just makes them learn about plants and rocks.
I just think that they should focus on what the student is good at, while also including important subjects that they can improve on and other things that should be known in life that isnt taught in schools.
There should be more freedom to choose your interests, and not because of choosing gcse’s that are probably useless ngl. It gives you more passion and interest, along with a goal and drive, that school lacks to give to students because you have a half hour detention afterschool for not doing an essay true story bro.
Anyways, there should be more freedom, more interest in what a person is good at while improving on other vital things in life, as well as keeping a student’s motivation and making them understand what you really need to know, like socialising because im bad at it.
It should also be a responsibility upon the student to keep themselves in check, and if they need mental help, then the school should give it PROPERLY. Not just ‘everyone goes thru it, here’s a few things to help you blah blah blah’ NO I want to hear REAL WORDS. Teachers should learn 21st century humor
I wish schools would let you focus more on becoming who you want to be, rather than some factory worker who only knows how to follow instructions. It’s just mindless memorizing and regurgitating for standardized tests. Half the stuff I know is useless. I also really want more time to dedicate to music too. I feel so bad rn cause I literally can’t sit down and make any music, due to my mind being convoluted with information for an upcoming AP Test.

The current school system is horrifically outdated and was first developed during the Industrial Revolution, back when factory work was the only destination for youngsters and youths.
Back then, factory work skills included things like strict adherence to instructions and mundane duties and schedules: EXACTLY how the school system was constructed. However, as society progressed, nobody bothered to reform the system. In this day and age when children need to learn how to think freely, plan their own days, and make good self decisions, schools just don’t prepare them for it. Also, there’s some serious flaws in what kids are taught.
“Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell” doesnt mean shit if a kid aspires to be a musician, astronaut, or historian.
“The Jamestown colony was established on May 14th, 1607” doesnt mean shit if a kid aspires to be a mathematician or software engineer.
Introduce the topics? Yes, but what the school system is doing is forcing these topics onto us for several consecutive years at a time. Where I live, the only classes you get to pick are AP classes or college classes. Schools expect dream children who excel in all fields of education (math, science, literacy, history, etc.), while most of us just want to put all our eggs into one specific basket. Besides, this is the age of the internet, so whenever we don’t know something that we need to know, then all we have to do is google it up. Takes less than 15 seconds.
“You won’t have a calculator with you every day” is a shit argument because literally everybody carries a phone with them from middle school onwards.
What schools should be doing is teaching us what we want to learn and what we need to learn, not what we don’t want/need to learn.
There is an extra class I have that teaches students how to organize themselves before they hit high school. I’m in a private tho so cant say this is the case for everyone
private schools can operate independently and the people who run them usually have more brains than those who run public schools, so I can understand why you don’t share the same views as the rest of us public schoolers

Also there used to be a minor bullying incident, the group of 4 people also got fucked over by the school

Before online schooling, there used to be about a fight every other week. Some of the time the victim can be doing absolutely nothing and another person just starts attacking them and they both get suspended. Not only that but the teachers are responsible for breaking up the fights and they sometimes get injured while doing so. One teacher even broke his back because a student body slammed the teacher and the teacher was just a sweet old man trying to break up a fight

I have summer classes starting in a few days and then straight after that is back to my regular semester classes. It’s not like school is a total drag, but it can take a lot of time away from other things I would also like to do, so balancing them both is what ends up becoming a drag. 
I’ve earned the right to complain about school though.
