oh also, stylize that ugly ass interaction button
iâve tried suggesting a new UI it doesnât seem like itâs something people even notice
thatâs your problem and boowomp
i could have the opinion of wanting magics to have preset attacks (i would have this opinion if lost/ancient magic didnât exist). but my ass wouldnât sit here crying
âweapons should get customizationâ
âno, theyâre not supposed toâ
âwhy not?â
âbecause i donât want it toâ
âthen u can choose not toâ
âjust go magic or fs bruhâ
âbut i want customizable weaponsâ
âyour problemâ
there needs to be a facepalm reaction
we want the old style of magic from AA back!
ah yes, i never wanted it to, thatâs the whole reason on why itâs like that. awesome strawman
weapon is the path of preset moves and thatâs that. if they were customizable they were completly different moves and alot less cool
also vitality will prob also be non-customizable
no not really, those were mega boring because they had all the same moves. but then no customization.
lol i can do that as well watch
begging the claim + circular argument
hasty generalization
in fact, iâve heard of a lot of people happy that weapon customization is being added
red herring
another red herring
also begging the claim and circular argument
yeah iâm using the same argument because itâs the only argument thatâs needed.
youâre just pissy
just to be clear, your argument is essentially âweapons shouldnât get customization because theyâre the one class thatâs there to be the thing that doesnât changeâ?
also forgot to mention thatâs ad hominem
bro casually fucking over builds because he doesnt like change
dawg if you dont want customizations then dont fucking customize it. Iâm a fucking weapon main (60% wep metal conj to be specific) and I would very much like the ability to customize my weapons somewhat.
There is no reason why half of the builds (including vitality) should be unchangeable especially when weapons with moves people like will have to be shafted in the future for better equipment, like legendary shit.
use a better one, because it fucking sucks.
thatâs not how that works, weapon attacks wouldnât be the same and then just have customization on them, they would be pretty damn different to fit with the system. you would just completly change weapons
itâs also another whole balancing act, and the game doesnât have the greatest balancing atm
this discussion is useless anyway because weapons wonât get customization
i donât think heâs attacking you directly heâs just trying to state you are peeved basically ( or that you just want the last word in or something).
i guess iâm going to write a full review of why i donât think customisable weapons would be a good idea.
ok letâs get started, we got spirit weapons, weapons and magic ( and strength oops ), magic and strength are customisable, within the menu you see in game ( yknow what who cares if it may cramp the UI we can squeeze weapons there), you see from a lore standpoint pure weapon users donât have control over magic anymore in exchange for weapon skill, these are preset skills in weapons that are currently not customisable, you can say in real life that people with skill in weapons should be able to do these techniques differently but it doesnât make sense for them to do them repeatedly very quickly ( tiring), or in different sizes ( isnât like magic or strength).
the lore view is probably not the best and not finished but try think of it through that.
the balancing and development team viewpoint ( consider this alot cause it can get peoples attention but if itâs not realistic to them itâs a nope). theyâve already done and balanced weapon skills and put so much time into them, now coding all these for weapons when the diversity in weapons was supposed to be that they have so many skills, (and the balancing disaster this would cause⌠)
think about how many spells there are ingame thereâs like uhm probably around 10? and thereâs like 20+ weapon skills, imagine all those being treated like magic skills, ( weâre not even getting started on warlords and conjurers), anyways itâs all already been decided weapons are not customisable iâm sure they considered it, but decided that having so many different skills is the diversity for weapons.
that all said, thereâs no saying that spirit weapons will not be customisable, i can see a âmagicâ, âstrengthâ and âspiritâ it seems like spirit weapons may be what you were looking for.
A group of people go weapon class because itâs not such a mess to research and figure out ( hmm how many blasts, how much % and all those things) itâs simple and you donât need to be too invested in the game to understand whatâs the current metas and ideal set ups ( you donât got to experiment yourself and all that), itâs not like weapon users donât have to do that, theyâd still have to worry about stat allocations and what weapons to use for their skills and what allocations for sub-weapon buildsâŚ
@anon50803445 with what you mentioned, itâs from a conjurers perspective, and it would be cool for weapon skills to be customisable imbued with magic or hybrid skills or something. looking at legendary weapons i donât think theyâll be the end game best thing as it seems like lost magics and techniques will be end game things too, legendary weapons will probably have multiple skills adding alot of diversity ( imagine the balancing team when thereâs like 50 weapon skills that are ALL customisable). itâs not always a good idea to get involved in peoples fights.
look at it like this, development has already decided not to make them customisable, busy with finishing nimbus sea, spirit weapons are planned in the near future, it doesnât seem like theyâd be that bothered to make weapon skills customisable as magic and strength are ( warlords get special skills with certain weapons too, since theyâre strong and skilled in weapons), letâs say there is some kind of customisation for weapons maybe itâd be there as some kind of special technique.
that said it seems like conjurers mainly are the party here that want customisation to weapons, there can be spell scrolls unique to conjurers that make use of magic and the weapon ( maybe would have to be a special weapon, maybe sunken weapons get special skills with the colder magics), i imagine itâd fall under the magic tab though.
very well said
yeah a point i had, though better explained.
you can say that if you donât want to customize you can just not customize, but that just wouldnât really work imo, like try doing a playthrough of mage without any customization
not everyone wants to have to do their customization, try the spell out (gotta find a dude first too) and then keep trying until you get what you want. some peopel just want the skill and then use it. itâs just that weapon was the path chosen for this (and maybe spirit who knows, i think it would make sense, 2 custom, 2 static.)
also it seems that it just is by game design that these more intricate attacks arenât/are less customizable. the lost spells we do have are ALOT less customizable, can maybe change 1 or 2 things about that
iâm conjurer
respect for posting an actual argument instead of the dumpster fire âbc i donât want it to â argument the other guy was saying
lore isnât a good reason against changes that a lot of people want
for example, mages are the strongest in lore but no one would want vetex to make mages way stronger than the other classes for the sake of lore
also itâs no different from strength users customizing their skills
balancing issues can come from any change, but that doesnât mean we shouldnât update the game
itâs like saying we shouldnât add spirit weapons or increase the level cap bc of the balance issues it might cause
does he know?
i have not met a single person who does that⌠even so, you can choose to leave everything at their default setting and let people who want customization customize their stuff
does he know
it would work though i can see myself doing that
ur whole argument is based on the fact that not everyone wants customization but i could just as easily say not everyone wants no customization
do wanna know when i ever said that but yeah thx
here
here
here
even you arguing against it in the first place obviously tells me that u donât want it to
