i think this fits better
wrong, that one starts up in my head cause i start tweaking out
Hokma BAL-
(I had to, the curse demanded it)
oh yeah hokma balls i almost forgot
what the hell happened here?
i love pvp, wish i stop being so rusty so i can win 1v5s again
then its not worth it
very much worth it considering you can generate golden apples, a very sought after reagent
You know what I Just realized? Walls are lowkey useless.
What am I spending all this money for? They can still claim it if I’m not here, unless I surround the whole thing in walls, which will be ugly as hell, and even more expensive.
just reset and you spawn back at your barracks
I can attest that out of the many clan servers and claimed islands I’ve visited, I’ve only been ganked by a single asshole, who used ice cannon to oneshot me once and when I respawned tried it again, with me surviving at less than 50 hp, before getting away and leaving
bitch didn’t even give me back my galleons
as a cannon user with a 289 damage ult w/o buffs, we do not claim him as our own
p.s
I’ll get to making it up to date down the line soon hopefully. Depends on how my workload and schedule is.
Yet this exact point is the reason why people inside of bigger clans don’t dislike the clan community, because their involvement in it has created a positive experience for them.
This update created a newfound desire for people to join clans, and if they want to get the best out of the feature, approaching it with optimism is your best bet, obviously (although impossible), hence is it not a better solution to just find your reason to not dislike the entire clan community (e.g. finding friends within a clan)?
I’m really sorry to burst your bubble, but unless you’re dirt poor, there’s more island building and galleon farming going on within the clan scene than ganks, negative interactions have gotten way less likely within the game, because everyone wants to do their own builds.
Not to presume anything about you, but if you read one of my first replies , you’d know you can unclaim islands whilst they’re being contested by another clan because of changes to how capturing islands function, meaning that you can entirely avoid one of these possible negative interactions entirely from one click of a button.
You must have alot of confidence to think I care about what your comparison is about, you’re entitled to view anything as you so please.
The concept of comparing a gank to a murder makes absolute sense, just I think you said your actual comparison wrong. I don’t support your point, but don’t you think it would’ve been better to say something like “In a prison block full of murderers, just because the majority of them act nice to eachother, doesn’t take away the fact that they’re murderers”, or something along those lines?
You told me my argument was bad but I’m having trouble seeing anything in yours that I haven’t already discussed with anyone else involved in this discussion. Don’t join in for the sake of being here.
Alright, I don’t know how I’m supposed to reply to everything here so I’ll just add my own input here.
(uh oh shiansi24 paragraphs incoming)
First impressions matter a lot. There’s always going to be a few assholes running around and tainting the reputation of a clan. Most of the playerbase isn’t going to want to dig deeper into the PvP community because of the select few idiots shitting everything.
No one is wrong for assuming that either. If I had constant shit experiences with something (doesn’t necessarily have to be a community) I would consider not giving it a second chance. Even If I did and it turned out to be not so bad, my impressions of said thing would still be marred.
I’ve had bad experienced with clans myself, too. Every single time in the past someone, somewhere decided to chase me for 5 minutes straight, then my friends and I murdered their clan or got hunted until we left.
There’s also this one member of Mendacium (I don’t remember your user but fuck you) who hunted my friend across servers AND got other members on him because he told them to be respectful while he was sparring with said member and some random savant
That screwed his impression on the community. I hated everyone too, until I started pvping with randoms and eventually joined my clan (Mythos) a few months after witnessing its founding
I mean clan building just makes pve exploration difficult and unintuitive to new players (why can’t I go over this wall? Why am I being shot at by this wilderness island?) and there’s weird design choices (no move button). Mixing pve benefits with something tied to pvp is just a ? to me as well. Like we’ve seen how poorly this was before with deckhands, must we play this song and dance again? Why must I fight if I simply wish to build a base with my (nonexistent) friends?
Vetex’s choices when it comes to pvp are so very confusing to me,
THIS. Holy shit my friend and I were trying to explore the new update but almost everything was claimed and his brig was shot at more than few times because he didn’t know about the mortars and didn’t think they would target him (he isn’t in a clan)
petition to separate clan pvp and pve leaderboards
make a “war” and “peace” leaderboard or something to seperate pvp and pve
Complete opposite, why raid a million galleon invulnerable base that someone simply AFK farmed galleons for when waiting 30min at an island gives the same infamy?
yeah I’m quite a big pvper but I’ve hadn’t had a single dispute over island this update lol, since there’s no reason to dispute them at all
