Hey, this is Cryonical . Welcome back to another anchor of The Odyssey Feed! The easter update is almost here, and tons of new and anticipated additions have been put into the game for all of us to enjoy ! So let’s jump in.

image

Shark hunting attachments are here :poggers2:! Put in the previously unused Attachment Slot (Ketches now have 4 attachment slots), there are 4 different attachments, one scaling for each build; Arcanium swivel guns for magic, throwing harpoons for strength, harpoon guns for weapons, and net launchers for vitality :gun:!

Like other main ship parts, they are found in sealed chests as blueprints, and can be enchanted :sparkles:. When mounted, they also have the special quality of aggroing all nearby sharks to your ship, even sharks that can’t target your ship size naturally :boom:. This makes it much easier to make a shark begin circling your ship so that you can attack them with the attachment!

Overall, these are super cool tools that vary between your builds, and involve the circling mechanic in order to make it much easier to defeat sea monsters and normal sharks !

Next, here’s something we may or may not have expected; the start of potions :test_tube:, specifically just for water breathing potions (Only the tier 1 reagent for water breathing, seaweed, which is found in underwater sand slopes, has been added :ocean:.)! However, the whole system has been implemented, so we can cover how potions work in certain detail :mariomug:!

Cauldrons, which are found around the world, have 2 slots: 1 is a Reagent slot, in which you can insert numerous amounts of an ingredient type called Reagents . Every time you brew a potion, it will give you two of them, since you put in 2 catalysts.

There are 2 tiers of reagents for each type of effect, such as water breathing :bubbles:. The tier 1 reagent for an effect can be found more commonly, while the tier 2 reagent can be found more rarely, such as in the dark sea or in a hard to reach area :eye:.

There are 5 tiers of potions, each tier exemplifying the potion’s effect! Putting in 1 tier 1 reagent results in a tier 1 potion, putting in 5 tier 1 reagents results in a tier 2 potion, putting in 10 tier 1 reagents results in a tier 3 potion, putting in 5 tier 2 reagents results in a tier 4 potions, and putting in 10 tier 2 reagents results in a tier 5 potion :chart_with_upwards_trend:.

The second cauldron slot is for catalysts. You can only put in 2 catalysts (not more or less). Currently, the only catalysts are found on shores, which make drinking-type potions. In the future, more types of catalysts will exist for throwing, etc.)

Depending on the rarity of the catalysts used, the potion receives a different model/name and its status length is increased. Common shore items make vials, uncommon shore items make flasks, rare shore items make potions, and exotic shore items make elixirs! Of course, with different types of catalysts in the future, these will differ.

For example, putting in 10 seaweed, which are the tier 1 (out of 2 tiers) water breathing catalysts, will result in your potion applying tier 3 water breathing. Then, putting in 2 golden pearls, which are exotic rarity drinking type catalysts, will result in your potion being an elixir, a drinkable potion with 1.5x duration.

Lastly, as you can see, servers will now shut down after 12 hours. An on screen timer appears when there’s only 10 minutes left, so you can prepare . Additionally, later, a timer was added to the menu showing the server age. There have also been a TON of balancing changes. In fact, so many, I refuse to cover them here simply because I would probably hit the character limit. I also am not writing allat :sleeper:. Check them out yourself, though :+1:!

Going onto v1.11.33, the only things we haven’t covered are that 25 new diving points and 12 more underwater structures have been implemented! You can see all the credits for who made them here:

image

The last version we’ll be taking a look at today is 1.11.34 :dash::

image

First, some renown changes… Basically everything besides hunting that previously could, can no longer give renown when over 100k, such as freeing people, stopping executions, and committing property destruction :boom:. This is so at that point, people will be encouraged to partake in the hunting part! Also, all people above 1 million renown have been reset to 1 million since there were some bug abusers :skull:.

Speaking of bug abuse, gems and rock salts are all wiped since there was a patched exploit causing people to get thousands and thousands of them, and sky pumpkins and sun caraways have been set to 30 if they were above that due to changes in how they spawn quite a while ago.

Second, weapon throws go much slower underwater, probably to prevent cheesing the shark circling mechanic, and sharks and sea monsters have much less of a drop chance when killed with something besides shark hunting attachments, which forces you not to simply blast spam on the sharks :+1:.

Lastly, a bit of quality of life. Requesting or sending items above your level cap cannot be done anymore :balance_scale:, perhaps to make things less confusing for new players, and destroyed parts will no longer unanchor, but instead disappear. This will certainly look worse, but will reduce lag in town fights tenfold :ok_hand:.

Last but not least :mariomug:, here’s a new screenshot of a diving point, posted by vetex in news, in which he also announced that the Underwater & Easter Event Update will be releasing at 3 PM today; in just a few minutes :frhigh:! So get your easter baskets and harpoons ready!

That’s all for today’s anchor of The Odyssey Feed. Peace out :v:!

Rating Arcane Odyssey Names
Posted by @anon49231511

One of the notable things different from World of Magic to Arcane Odyssey is how the latter has many more first and last names, and you can choose both :v:! Certainly, people have found some pretty interesting names, and even the names of some real life people! So, where’s better to share these than this thread right here :eyes:?

Coming up next is Soraa, with some epic art :sparkles:! With epic grainy color, spectacular shading and color, beautiful blends, and striking neon leaves, the artist’s main file is certainly depicted quite gloriously. Quite fire, in more ways that one :fire:… great job on this, Soraa!

Waltzing with Death
Written by @SpectreTheFox and @Freddy_Fazguy

In a turn of events I never would have expected, Specter makes their forum writing debut with a 55 page fight :eyes: between one of their files, Benjamin, the Brawling Blur, and Architect Merlot, the Waltz of Death. Not only this, but Fazguy has made art, showing up multiple times throughout to accompany the writing :sparkles:! You think a fight stretched out to this length would get boring, but I read the whole thing, and it ages surprisingly well for it’s length :ok_hand:! Great job both of you!

that’s the total amount of structures @Cryonical has worked on

so its likely correct

None of you got it! Thought this would be an easier one.

Im guessing

Structure#12
Total amount of underwater structures made
Combine with Structure#25

I believe its Structure#37

No, it’s not that complex, but you’re getting warmer.

is it the amount of structures that spawn at the start of a server?

There is a possibility .

I think the answer is 20
