Some random shit about sine waves I read about today.

The sound usually[1] used in audio to censor profanity is a sine wave with a frequency of exactly 1 kilohertz[2]. In the United States, the EAS[3] attention tone consists of two sine waves of 853 Hz and 963 Hz, designed to be as unpleasant to the human ear as possible.

Hey kids! America 250 is coming up, and we have so much to celebrate!!! But, just like the cake, the Fourth of July… is a lie. Well, kind of. The Second Continental Congress voted in favor of independence on July 2. The actual Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4.
