An issue I can see coming from this eventually is when the Vampirism fighting style comes out and Vitality’s gimmick is no longer unique to itself.
Its not too bad cause vitality will still have its own spirit weapons and all that, but it is a little bit of a damper, nothing really bad though. Certainly won’t be ruining anything.
For anyone crying that the mere concept of heal-over-time lifesteal is gamebreaking how about I break your skull instead cuz I swear there is absolutely nothing you can add to this game anymore without getting this response.
It doesent matter anymore but when regen first came out you could have 40hp/ a tick while in combat with only around 100 of the stat, and even non-vitality builds could get the full effect from it
Why in the world do people keep insisting that HP and drawback makes vitality unique? the only things that differentiates vit from other builds can be aquired by wearing a single piece of vatrachos armor
IMO either way both of these don’t really make it unique as yes its either weapons with lifesteal or weapons with drawback. if it were to be changed something truly unique would have to occur
Well the steelman argument is that HP and Drawback is much more unique than what other builds have to offer, not that it’s a completely unique mechanic to the game. Lifesteal over time would still be unique compared to other builds but it’d make it more similar.
My counterargument is that it’s not a bad thing. I can understand their complaints but HP with Drawback doesn’t feel good and in general people seem to think Vit builds are just cooked by design.
Why on earth would you want an HP buff that you actively subtract in-combat? That’s like the #1 thing drawing me away from even considering a Vit build (I made a Metal-Paladin but only cuz I wanted a Magneto file).
Yeah but that’d be like if we already had Spirit Imbue and we said “imagine Health + Drawback with Painitite”. Except we have Painitite rn and we don’t even have Vampirism, Vampirism could change.
