If I do have something to say, it’s the idea of spirit energy, at first, when I heard that you do more aoe at the cost of health and stuff, and the fact they have different colors for ruthless and merciful, I thought "so merciful is sacrificing hp so that you have the power to protect the people that matter to you, and ruthless being “the greed for power at the cost of your own life”
Basically, I don’t like this because it just destroys the idea spirit energy had, which is the sacrifice to protect and the sacrifice for power, also to the guy above me, spirit energy is different from magic, they are quite literally the opposite
i have around 2019 hp but always lose half of it by the time an average fight is done cause of the built in drawback, so im not actually that tankier ( it does let me blow myself up with 4 barrels and not die tho, so funny ig ). could just be because im a wind paladin who deal ~250 dmg per hit on average tho
if anything the on hit regen sounds a lot better ( unless the regen amount is a$$ )
What if vitality was different by while giving more hp and still having the hp drain you have to be more strategic with it (or hit and run if you are bounty hunting i guess). Basically vitality gets defensive bonuses but has to be skilled in order to have effective offense. Whether it is just really long cooldowns (like half or quarter of an ult art) with strong moves or small but strong moves which gives reason for that needed hp. idk random thought
Yeah but I don’t like the idea of being strategic or else you literally deal more damage to yourself than you gain HP.
If Vitality had a separate HP pool and using attacks only drained HP from that specific pool (which I have suggested before, not gonna happen) then I’d be more ok with it. But even then it still presents similar issues.
In my opinion revamp is cool. Its hard to believe that some people still want to leave vitality route unchanged. Since it is both meta and shit depending on your loadout, which would cause huge balancing issues and in the result: Tons of useless lines of code for Vetex to make.
There is only one problem about this revamp - Vampirism (future fstyle), its uniqueness being sacrificed and now I wonder if its will be scrapped entirely or not.
I actually don’t get it. WHY do people keep saying that spirit weapons without hp are just weapons 2?? They’re not close at all, at least not right now. We literally have ONE move for ONE spirit weapon and it’s closer to magic than it is weapons, so why do people keep saying this?
people acting like having 6k hp builds with 250 damage attacks is fair or balanced for anyone, not just pvp, how do you think the npcs feel when you’ve literally acquired a sliver of Zeus’s power and you heal faster than the can slash you with a cutlass. You’re not a chop chop curse user for god’s sake, be normal.
the worst part about vitality mains is they’re just mad OBNOXIOUS about it for NO reason. Just because your build wasn’t added on EARLY ACSESS release does not make you better than literally anyone else. High Hp builds with no drawbacks are stupid.
I mean the spirit weapons already aren’t conventional weapons nor, from what little we’ve seen so far, do they function like them. The suggestion does give some cool ideas for what spirit weapons could look like and that in it of itself is worth voting for, but I don’t think spirit weapons have ever been in danger of being weapons 2.0.
