What Acid does Acid Magic closely imitate?

what acid does it imitate really? There are several types of them such as Nitric, Hydrofluoric and other

i simply can’t get this out of my head

from what i can tell it’s definitely not HF Acid as it dissolves glass - and uh, in AO, Acid Magic has a clash disadvantage against Glass Magic i guess?

it’s typically yellow, but can change colours during some reactions, notably to green like the acid we have in ao

Yes but I doubt it’s still nitric acid if it becomes green via reacting

yea, but most other acids are colourless so it’d be difficult to find one with the right colour that’s also dangerous enough and could feasibly be found by early wizards to base a magic on

… maybe we should also check the bases because early wizards were dumb as fuvk and pronably couldn’t differentiate between the two, just in case?

imagine casting a fuckin explosion spell and your character’s like
”oh hey that’s the sandwich i ate an hour ago”
while acid magic is probably stomach acid it’s obviously it’s not your own stomach acid

Stomach acid generally isn’t colored, at least when it’s on it’s own
thing is that
stomach acid is often depicted as green or yellow due to mixing with bile when you vomit, which is another digestive liquid that comes from the liver that functions to break down fat, absorb nutrient and remove waste products
so i hypothesize that Acid magic is a mix of both stomach acid and digestive bile
the bile
only really being there
for color
