What Do You Think Of Jarl Ivar?

How is Elius/Calvus not grounded? They just jump around a lot?

And I’m not sure about adding sea monsters here, since they’re intended to be fought with ship attachments and not in direct confrontation

Not since full release.

love the character love his skill and love the uniqueness, BUT I HATE THE WAY HE WAS INTRODUCED. like, ur telling me the most interesting metal mage in current lore is wiped in like 10 mins max. i hate the bossfight i hate his introduction and i hate the drops! i feel like CRYSTAL FURY shouldnt have been added and jarl was the resistance drawback set, cause ugh its so useless LIKE OH MY GOSH THIS STORY UPDATE WAS GENUINELY- okay i should stop before i get banned for malding

i really like the boss but i do believe he had short screentime… maybe a chase sequence out of the fenrir with him casting multiple attacks while chasing you or just a cool fight cutscene after phase 2 man… it literally just cuts to him laying on the ground after phase 2 and thats lame.

i also agree that he had no buildup aside from the keraxe soldiers in the campsite telling everyone to alert the jarl, but to be fair, most things in the storyline have 0 buildup

His mech form in the first phase looked cool AF.

But his fight goes south. like genuinely. Just like AO boss. It felt more like buldozering your way than really learning the boss and the mechanic you should’ve known to fight them.

All of a sudden Jarl Ivar turns into Elden Ring parry style boss. Which okay I get that skill issue or whatever, but it is a complete departure from how players mostly do boss fight in the game and that we learn none.

yeah no the more bosses up in level its just a slog. like bronze sea is bearable, maria was bad at first, then these recent bosses have been garbage! i dont want damageslop where i gotta either LIVE or KILL the boss in a few seconds, its so boring and so lazy lmao

i think this wasnt thought out just cause nobody planned for the same repetitive boss combat to be an issue at later levels

ALSO ALSO, before i forget id really like magic exclusive spells in the future, cause a metal-giant form sounds like the most interesting magic related form. ever.

Does it even considered a boss fight if the only strategy to all of em is just bulldoze them with raw power and speedrun the fight?

Surely for a character that’s meant to be a test of your game knowledge and how you utilize each mechanic taught you a thing and a big investment in coding and animating to be more than just speedrun the fight and bulldoze them with raw damage as fast as possible.

Also… giant metal form or maybe a manifestation of magic form got to be the coolest. I would want to see more of this than Ormolu spawning his Ormolulings to fight us.

All I wanted to say has already been said, I hope he commits jumping off Ivoris into Vents of Aeolus

Will the average player know to do any of this? Or will they just see the 700 damage explosions and call it bullshit after suffering through it for 30 minutes

Okay. So what you’re saying is, you can take a long time to overlevel your gear and learn his patterns to make him farmable, which you’ll probably only be able to do after the story…

Or you can DPS him so you don’t have to deal with trying to finesse the dude?

robloxians are not the same hardcore gamers that fromsoft fans are

you got the hang of it after
(40) (DPS kills) or (40 DPS) (kills)
like, did it take you 40 kills to get the hang of it?

unrelated but how do people think allanon is worse than ivar, I feel like having no good space and being bursted down is a lot worse than hard readability

I suspect it has to do with Allanon being able to fly, which makes hitting him difficult for Beserkers and invalidates half of a Strength-hybrid’s build.

Ah yes, his flight mechanic that can just negate 80% of a berserkers kits by being too high up

Oh yeah also his several moves designed to fuck over anyone who gets too close

King Caesar and Ormolu. Caesar being the least problematic. I don’t see an issue with Calvus, his gimmick is interrupting his charge. Well, the floor in his throne room is better be made more durable, but thats it. And Jorund? Whats the issue with Jorund? Apart from the fact that seeing where he is is difficult at times, and his Shifter of Fate being a lil bit hard to defeat. I think he is fine, and the difficulty of his brig is justified. Besides, he even creates his own, very wide arena with his ice magic. The devs cooked with this boss

nothing burger, thats all

at least argos got some aura, being the strongest magicless guy weve seen so far even though hes in old age already

ivar got magic, drugged up and still lost, fraud

wait he had a curse??? i thought his metal was magic. fym thats a curse user???

No, thats magic

oh, welp

oh thank god imagine if our first curse user was THAT washed

at least you can excuse the crystal curse user and ceaser due to being insane and are more instinctual animalistic aka no battle iq whatsoever
