tbf im pretty sure most people would be tired of putting up with the same arguement for like over 3 years and quoting the same thing especially for a game they have been working on for like 2 or 3 years idk though im not vetex :person_shrugging:

Again, that’s an excuse, he refuses to acknowledge any of his wrongdoings, as clearly seen by the fact that he kicked out two testers for criticizing his game.

vetex has said plenty of times he doesnt want to show pvp until awakenings are done and even before that the pvp already looks pretty good

i dont know what youre expecting from this game, a roblox game obviously isnt going to be the peak of game design or triple a quality

literally just aa combat dude lmao, also do you not see the glaring fucking issue that they’re doing like 150 - 200 damage a hit despite only having 800 hp? If you’re not constantly spamming dodges and weapon skills to escape, you’re going to die in 4 hits. That isn’t good combat, that’s just dogshit.

Also very early?? I am positive that the combat hasn’t changed to any degree because again, he refuses to accept any criticism from even his own testers.

honestly i feel like not 100% focusing on gameplay is the best think to do in this case, after all burnout is a thing + when the game releases, just like WoM people will finish it, and they will be BORED waiting for updates, which we can assume will probably be pumped out at the same rate or longer than WoM, by adding these little QoL/ small features it increases worldbuilding, story, and overall enjoyment of the game, especially while waiting for. also that isn’t plagiarizing lmao sure he is taking the exact idea but ofc he isn’t straight up stealing everything, new words and systems will ofc be added; yes he took the idea but that isn’t straight up stealing lmao, if that was the case we could all be pretty fucked

Our standards are so low you can have an entire game revolve around stabbing outlets with forks and it’ll probably be front page while the mods do the exact same IRL.

this video seems to demonstrate the main issues with pvp, it could be fake, but I doubt a tester would lie

he literally has yet to start on main things such as fighting styles or weapon skills, sure it prevents burnout, I’ll give you that, but there’s only so many side features you can add before you have to move onto the main things, if he continues to postpone these things and adds more useless features that only take away time he could’ve spent on fleshing out fighting styles, he’s going to make these things absolutely abysmal.


you can add smaller features to take a break from a big feature, but if you’re adding smaller features, an abundance of smaller features at that, before even having started on a big feature, that’s just not right whatsoever.
Also fun fact about game development, making a game on your own is infinitely more difficult then making a game with maybe even 3 people.

Adding an Elden Ring note feature will not fix that, some of these features don’t actually do all that much for endgame, if he was adding shit like a dungeon then I’d be all for it, but it’s because of the fact that he’s adding useless things that I’m just not excited.

putting off that big of a thing to the last couple of months will 100% lead to unneeded stress and and a rushed version of PVP, it will not be balanced lol, you can’t make a good pvp system in like 2 days.

Also, two big issues is that
A. He’s going to use paid-access as a shield for his shit pvp system, that’s almost guaranteed.
B. The fact that he took the demoting of two testers to public clearly proves how immature he is, he could’ve very easily just said all of this over DMs with them, but instead he decided to take this to general, which shows his ego.

if you were hoping for these problems to be solved at some point closer to release,

now that is some gigantic speculation, you do know that the pvp system itself is nearly done, right? fighting styles and awakenings just need to be made, maybe a few other features too.

balancing just takes changing numbers and the ideas can be gathered over a long period of time. vetex knows that it would take more than 2 days so thats a dumb point

im assuming you havent read the trello at all? theres far more content in ao in its unfinished state than aa ever had, and either way even if it was a remaster i wouldnt really care. the game looks high quality and fun and thats all i want from it, whats been shown so far is pretty impressive and has more content than i expected the game to have in the first place

i understand where a lot of your arguments are coming from but it really feels like youre mostly nitpicking, the only valid point is how far fighting styles have been delayed and i hope vetex will clarify his reasonings on that

fighting styles are the next thing starting to be developed at this point of time and like the image you posted. we’re just waiting on the final third set otherwise weapon skills are almost finished

it theoretically can be in terms of copyright infringement but i doubt it’d call for one since it is simply placing msgs on the floor. i presume many games especially mmos probably have done this at somepoint.

not really an idea thats elden ring or souls exclusive tmk likely been popularized from it but we’re mainly looking at the principle of it here.
