not true in this case, companies want to find ways to cheapen costs, using AI is cheaper then artists which is why they lost jobs, people laughed and mocked AI art when it came out so no that wouldn’t stop it in this case cuz working on it makes life cheaper for these dumb corporates
how is that not true? buying a company’s product encourages them to keep doing what they’re doing, that’s true of any service
i think emulation isnt exactly illegal but moreso that its used a lot to pirate which is illegal
then you get into the whole “i want to play [ x ] game that released in [time before i was alive] but [company] doesnt sell that game anymore and the only people who do are scalpers who charge quintuple the price and so piracy it is”
anyway for my input on ai my stance is personal use to fuck around with is mostly okay aside from environmental concerns
but we need some serious laws on it to stop illegal content (if an AI can generate a child that is a Problem)
artists need to give consent and if they didnt give consent then the company should pay them for any potential revenue loss as well as remove their works from training data
and ai should IMO never be used in advertising anything that isn’t just the ai itself
Luddites complaining about ai art stealing ‘labor’ if you attack AI art’s core you are a reactionary in the most basic and literal sense of the word
People claim AI art is “Bad” and that it will result in slop being mass produced fresh off the presses and becoming normalized… well…
Shitty anime girls on Twitter or Bluesky shouldn’t stop you from making what you want from your soul.
AI will prove who the REAL artists are: people who bother making what they want out of a desire to, or for attention and likes on the Internet
There is a monopoly on culture and thanks to AI it is being broken. I’m pretty sure even those who arent terminally online are aware, that the overall quality of Hollywood, Netflix, media in general has gone downhill
Over time, in the next 2-15 years, what we know of AI will evolve and make culture more accessible to everyone
It starts by breaking monopolies. but before that they tell the small artists AI proves to be a huge threat to them (even though it will hurt the rich way more) In terms of AI art of course
Deepfakes are another problem
monopoly on culture, THATS CALLED SKILL ISSUE
I ain’t consuming 50 liters of water just because I was too lazy to commit to an action that would benefit me in the long-term, man. That shit is stupid, with these 50 liters of water, you could satiate your thirst for 33 days, less than what it would take to learn.
hey man, some people don’t have time or don’t have the skill to make art. that isn’t grounds to attack them.
Most people just wanna see “them doing cool stuff” for like 5 secs and they should be allowed to do that if the option exists.
Artists enemy aren’t common people and that’s the point of this post
a robot is a tool, not a human, that’s the difference.
I know that americans don’t know of this, but there’s this thing called free museum passes for minors. it lets minors, and therefore the people, access culture and all of that stuff.
Holy shit this is probably the stupidest pro ai argument I’ve seen anybody use yet
No words, I’m not even going to try to prove you wrong. It just blatantly disappoints me and my human soul to know that someone sat down and pressed the keys on their device to write this abomination you have just presented to us. The points you made are void of any logical argument to make sense in the reader’s mind and this entire thing you wrote is just treachery on the concept of writing itself.
Actually, it is. Laziness should be shunned upon, laziness is a detriment to all of society. What does AI do? It makes people more lazy, just like scrolling.
Effortless gratification at the tip of my finger?! Oh goodness, this will surely let effort continue to be the norm as it is a necessary aspect of society!!
ok
what the HELL is this picture
I don’t need a hand with 7 fingers on my art thank you very much.
Also ART, it’s creation and appreciation is one thing that make us different to automated machines.
you and your analogies. this one sucks too.
and no, using it is MUCH faster and takes MUCH less effort than actual drawing. its not inherently good that that’s the case, but its true.
good for you that you arent lazy, man! some of us are though (or like to goof around with it)
