I remember being in an argument with someome about if warren had the inferno curse or just inferno magic, he argued it had to he magic because if it was the curse then he’d just go one shot wotan instead of worrying about war

what are you… talking about? Curses aren’t common, and not even AO breaks that rule. Just because we’re introduced to multiple really high ranking members of a kingdom’s army earlier on doesn’t mean anything?? Curses are rare as all hell, the only reason we’ve even seen some this early on is because we’ve been dealing with the top level of KINGDOMS. And for that matter, we encounter 3 curse users in the first sea in AA anyway, and can fight one in the second.
Also, Wotan DOES get curses for his military. Did you not read the part where he has four given to his sons?
Like half of the major characters have curses at this point though.
Wotan and his entire bloodline has some.
Nero had one, and his son inherited it. Octavious also got one.
MORDEN got one
Warren has one
None of the functioning members of society can live without them.

In theory mayhaps, but it would all come down to whether the new Curse would ‘accept’ him. And that nothing goes awry prior to remotely getting to the new Curse.
If he doesn’t become one with the Curse then Wotan is just dead no ifs, ands, or buts. At least Keraxe still has the Wood Curse ig but losing one of the strongest ppl in the world that rules over your kingdom would generally be a bad thing to happen . .
But if they manage to suceed:

What Curse would they remotely try to give Wotan that isn’t already taken?
- Let alone remotely able to be found.

Who would obtain the Wood Curse?

How would Keraxe contend with the fact that Wotan is significantly weaker now having a new Curse to build up and get used to?

Would they try to attempt this on one of the sons to swap curses?

Which quite frankly makes it even more stupid to attempt such as thing as you run the risk of losing Wotan and a son.

As well as having two weakened experienced Curse users now instead of just one.

There’s a lot of massive trade-offs and risks that can be easily avoided by not going through with it at all. Assuming they can even find a replacement curse/son to swap curses with for whatever wacky asinine reasoning/logic got them to go down this path in the first place . .
Tl;dr,
Aside from the wacky asinine logic/reasoning to do such a thing that may not even work both in theory and practice.
It would prove to be rather impractical and has a good/high likelihood of being disastrous in the short term. With Wotan needing another thousand(s) of years to get back to the point he was a more than not.
