inf% shield damage reduction makes it so that any attack that hits me while i have my shield active instantly heals me to full health (the shield damage reduction code actually makes this possible)

If you only add explosion I think you will know who’s vote will it get

i feel like i should buff terra to 1.5 damage and buff flora’s speed to 1.375 and reduce flora’s cooldown and mana cost to 0.625

also only 1 magic has 1x damage and size and only 2 magics have 1x speed

Unfinished: Water/Ice (Slowness), Equinox (Blindness), Flora (DoT + LSD)
Finished: Fire (DoT), Terra (DoT), Wind* (Knockback), Lightning (Paralyze), Fauna (Lifesteal)

*wind’s knockback on aura/retaliate/burst would be disabled for the next update because i have to do some fucking 3d trigonometry for this

Can’t figure out how to do status effects for the life of me, so that’s good progress.
What does Equinox blindness look like?

i’d say basically shadow and light clash in your face, or a bunch of black/white spots on your screen or maybe something like shadowcast’s blinding effect which is mainly white but blacker at the edges(?)

If it’s just spots, then you could get around it by moving your camera. It would be more annoying than effective. What if instead, it just forced you to miss for a second. Like if you’re using beam your beam will suddenly point in a random direction regardless of where your cursor is or if your aim was just frozen in place from the moment that you got blinded until it wears off, but you’re still able to do other things like move

not really, i’m thinking more like deepwoken shadowcast blindness (white in you of you but black vignette)


im working on the game rn and heres the blindness effect i have so far

so it’s not complete blindness basically

yeah but it’s enough to be very disorienting

unsure but i need something quite powerful… hmm…

also btw the effect is somewhat seizure-inducing on multihit moves (needs to be fixed)

Imo blindness should either be all or nothing. Either it prevents you from seeing the enemy or it doesn’t
