World of Magic is terribly designed compared to AA

Yeah before guilds, it was far more peaceful. Our own greed for them eventually killed the game, and the infamy system just hastened it. But maid outfits tho

Lemme correct a few misconceptions about my original post and tackle the points unrelated to misconception later.

1 - I was saying explosion is an abhorrently good magic compared to Wood(Larger/Same Damagish/Faster), not a bad one.

2 - I’ve openly tried infamy grinding for my solo guild but I just feel like a dick after these literal children ask why? I’ve been attacked a few times, won a few and lost a few like how the game works but every time it just doesn’t feel very fun.

3 - I’m not against guilds since the game is full of children and most games are based off of the increase and decrease of meaningless numbers, I’m more against it being meaningless and counterintuitive. In AA some top guilds were hated but they were also respected to an extent while nobody in WoM respects certain guilds without being friends with someone in them/likes them.

4 - For those saying to “just predict” client-side, I can do that but why do I have to? Why should I have to fight invisible blasts and “just predict,” when I can go to much better games where I can see what I’m dodging. The fact this is my average encounter with guilds doesn’t help.

5 - I literally just joined the forums, I’m not aware of how many times it’s been said before but the fact it’s repeated so often probably means something.

Reason why I haven’t posted here till now is because there’s a cooldown on the amount of posts you can make on your first day or something.

I mean, its not easy to follow up to such a big hit as Arcane Adventures. That game was huge for a long time. Vetex clearly tried something new and it just didn’t workout, which is why he’s going back to a more AA style of game. There were 100% some issues with WoM, but I guess all that could be done is learn from it.

note that WoM is less than half as old as AA, yet still has more favorites/more visits (on average per year)

if WoM continued to get updates no doubt it would get more than AA’s visit count

Also WoM is 2 years old in 2 months, AA was 3 years old it’s not “less than half.”

Just found this post and I’ve gotta ask how exactly is the PvE in WoM worse than it was in AA?
In AA, for those who forgot, the enemies just walked in your exact direction no matter what you did and just attacked randomly, they didn’t even predict your movements so literally every ranged enemy could be countered by strafing to the left or right for the whole fight, they couldn’t even dodge and all but one or two of the real bossfights in AA were completely stationary.

If you somehow think the PvE in AA was better than it is in WoM, you need to talk off your nostalgia glasses because PvE in AA was absolute trash. It was great for 2017 roblox but not anymore.

AA’s NPCs were garbage, but while WoM’s fights are much better technologically, they’re still easy to cheese and don’t pose much threat.

The point being made is that at least in AA, you were fighting the NPCs, not just running back and forth doing fetch quests.
Simulator tier “press Q to level” wasn’t much better, but at least it was quick and could be done while doing other things, unlike to WoM’s many hours spent fetch questing.
