ah yes max amplification builds be like

haha get blinded for 3 hours ez ez skill issue

haha get 42938754897 DoT damage per tick ez ez skill sisues issue sissu ez

haha get knocked back into the stratosphere ez ez skill issue ez

haha get paralyzed with each hit for 30 hours ez ez skill issue skill issue

effects that each magic has should affected by factors like level differences, damage to health ratios, maybe rng, maybe specific body part hits and what not, and shit that isn’t a flat stat

Knockback already functions in this manner?

DoTs wouldn’t be broken for the same reason power hasn’t already snapped the game in half, you have a limit in space and choosing one means you aren’t choosing another.

how are other magics meant to get knockback then? if wind is the only magic that has knockback then that would be kinda wack to be honest, like this is a straight up physical advantage (depending on how you look at it) that other magics don’t have

How will other magics get burn? How will other magics get corroding? How will other magics get poison? How will other magics get fucking sandy? That applies with every unique effect, knockback is only slightly more unique. Clouds are another unique thing only 2 magics have that other magics won’t have.

a dot is not a physical advantage dumbass

Then what is a “physical” advantage?

oh I don’t know maybe you getting your current velocity nullified and getting launched in the opposite direction of where you were hit from?

That’s an example, but what would you consider a “physical advantage.” You could call poisoned a physical advantage because it essentially stops regen for 15 seconds. You could even call blindness a “physical advantage” because it makes you literally unable to see.

Idk about physical but Ik what an advantage is

a change in a statistic is not a physical advantage
and neither is you getting a png slapped onto your overlay

:fr:

I’m talking about position

So if only movement counts as physical advantage, wouldn’t clouds restricting your movement count as a “physical” advantage?

Also knockback is a statistic (based off of magic size for wind) rn.

clouds can’t affect someones position directly, you can literally run through them

:fr:

Knockback doesn’t affect someone’s position directly, they can just use a spell and get stuck in place
:fr:
Sure it doesn’t affect it directly, it’ll still kill you indirectly if you try it.

that is the most direct something can get bruh

a direct hit will nullify your velocity not to mention temporarily immobilize you and push you in a direction,

a poison cloud will not push someone away
:fr:

Ok does explosion’s destruction count as a physical advantage because if you shoot it under them because it forced them to fall like 2 feet into the ground?

  1. indirect
  2. has a low % chance of actually working
  3. can be easily escaped in less than a second
  4. doesn’t affect velocity
  5. doesn’t immobilize you
  6. doesn’t push you

can’t even compare it to the knockback that wind has

You can easily escape wind at our levels with a high jump.

Gravity is about as direct as it gets

You falling changes your forward movement speed very slighly

It could if the pit’s deep enough

Now you’re getting hyper specific with your requirements. You’re saying the only way for something to count as a physical advantage is if it pushes you. No wonder you think knock-back is the only physical advantage

You’re telling me every single time you fight a wind user you just can never fucking move the entire fight?

can you actually try to argue instead of dodging everything to fit your agenda

istg I have no idea how you see the knockback of wind, directly nullifying your speed, changing your velocity and basically having the same effect of a frozen status effect for about half a second while pushing you

the same as fucking terrain damage

I never said it was the same, I said it was also a physical advantage.

why you gotta be so Annoying

terrain damage is something that all magics at some point will get, knockback isn’t

All magics won’t get things like clouds but according to you that doesn’t matter because it doesn’t directly effect your movement even though you’d sure as hell be fucked taking 2 ticks a second of cloud damage.
