Agility and stat problems

Ok I see but classes in this game aren’t like the classic rpg’s , they have many more differences besides just their stats. Each one has its own unique attacks (we dont talk about vitality) , weapons, armor, awakenings and stuff. In my own experience I’ve been seeing plenty of build diversity among players.
Yeah the current stat formula favours balanced builds but that’s just to prevent people from breaking the game with insane single-stat builds.

i’m not talking about class stats, i’m talking about armour stats, i have no issue with class stats

I feel like mainly the problem is that this armor system doesn’t seem like it’s going to be sustainable in the future when we can actually get to higher levels

At some point armor builds are either going to have builds which spec into everything with everything at such high amounts (which won’t leave much diversity), spec extremely high into a stat (annoying and likely unfun to fight builds) or everything will be weak and we’ll be in power + defense meta again (which sucked)

see insane-single stat builds SHOULD be viable, there should just be a controlled range for stats that can get too “wild” when stacked too much, like attack size

i have an essay on this if you’d like to read it

yea i’m just gonna post my essay

also this

Didn’t meta solve your problem?

They thought of that

Doesn’t really change much when stats are gonna increase on armors as you go higher anyway

yea, but

The formula scales with the current level CAP not your current level

Well, that will still suck, because when the level cap is several hundred levels high and the final boss has been released, newbies will have to grind forever to get their wacky giant-but-not-gamebreaking AoE builds.

Aka:

when the final boss has been released, newbies will actually have a full game of content to enjoy instead of having to spend hundreds of hours trying to get a minmaxed build like we do rn

To be frank, due to the likes of equipment level limit and boss drop chances, Arcane Odyssey will eventually be hostile to new players without any of these changes.

But I think part of the fun of going through the story and progressing is “minmaxing” your build while you’re fighting all the bosses. If you have to grind to level 150 to even have your attack-size-focused build provide a noticeable advantage, and then grind another 150 levels to have the advantage noticeably increase, that’s not very interesting.

Yes it is bro, you’ll be grinding those levels while progressing the story. Literally in every game ever minmaxing your build has been an endgame thing.

agility at 20% efficiency does almost nothing, its just qol

Still having speed with tps together is just not a good idea period, you’d have to make the attack speed part much more shit for it to not be annoying to fight

Does anyone else have an empty file that they’re saving for an Oracle build on full release?

Me, I’m trying to make a file for each build

Not necessarily empty, but I made a Juggernaut to possibly switch to an Oracle.
As a matter of fact, I made it before Eagle Patrimony was even announced.
