hey! ever want to put yourself in the perspective of your character in AO’s setting? if so, join robobitch odyssey, our ever-growing server where characters explore, fight, and interact in the war seas and beyond
The Gist
In RO, players participate with their characters in plots made both by administration, and the players themselves. Characters abide by a Universal Level that goes up with each plot, but you can make characters under the universal level if you want.
Characters
Make any character you want! Want a character with draconic scales and wings? Sure—make them a dragon beastborn. Wanna make a Warden (WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS)? We’ve homebrewed spirit weapons for Vitality classes! And for warriors, we’ve even made Artisan Weapons that use gems for special effects.
Games
We’ve got fishing, a gacha shop, and an auction house all set up by @Danny_Zou ! Use the galleons you get from fishing to hit the gacha and gear up your characters with armor, or bid in the auction house for special items you can’t find anywhere else!
Elysium
Ascend to the land of heroes to battle against other characters and old bosses in a non-canon environment. Resetting every Saturday, you’ve a chance to win big rewards by triumphing in combat roleplay against another character! Game Masters also host boss raids against empowered versions of old bosses, and redistribute their boss drops to whoever helps defeat these former enemies!
Plots
Headed by some of the best writers in the community, the characters will find themselves embroiled in many a mystery. Game Masters are players designated to run plots of their own! If DMing is your thing, try submitting an application when you get in. We’ve had adventures in kingdoms secretly ran by the Order, revolutions to wrestle control of a kingdom from the Corsair Country, and a venture across the Dark Sea to…
The Emerald Sea
A seperate sea far to the north of the War Seas, past the Dark Sea. The Emerald Sea is extremely large, far larger than the Bronze Sea. Similar to the Nimbus Sea, powerful Kingdoms dominate this sea. Their history of war and conflict spans several centuries, isolated from the War Seas.
Unlike the Warring Seas, Sea Curses and other remnants of the Gods are very rare. This makes Curses and Curse users very valuable. Thus, the Kingdoms of the Emerald Sea have a great interest in the Warring Seas, which possess many curses.
When Durza destroyed the world, the Emerald Sea was filled with immense magical radiation, turning the waters a bright, clear turquoise. Even to this day, the Emerald Sea is highly contaminated with radiation.
And yes, you can make kingdoms in this sea! Our current list is as follows:
Logres
The smallest kingdom in the Emerald Sea, but certainly not the least. Logres is famed for its trade, its privateers able to strike a deal with any merchant around. Most of their resources are sourced from other kingdoms as a result. Its architecture is mostly Spanish and Mediterranean-inspired, with minimal and uniform buildings, mostly red roofs, and raw iron over windows, balconies, and front doors. Its motto is “Logres rule the waves!” , evidenced not just by its power over the Emerald Sea’s trade, but its navy. Logres used to boast the most powerful navy in all the Emerald Sea… until disaster struck.
The kingdom’s navy was trumped by the Corsair Country’s Sixth Corsair, Captain Hargreaves, and his fleet of pirate ships. With a weak army, the ports, and then the capital city of Prospero, quickly fell. The people now live under a complete dictatorship under Captain Hargreaves, as the king and queen were taken captive, and the prince and princess have gone missing.
But thanks to the efforts of the players, Prince Joshua of Logres was able to lead a revolution against Captain Hargreaves, killing him and restoring rule to the royal family!
Bierund
An isolationist kingdom, ruled by Prince Albrecht. The biggest producers of Arcanium, it’s a mystery why the Prince suddenly placed the entire kingdom under a law of isolation—no one gets in, and no one gets out.
Oryn
A nation primarily defined by its mushroom-like stone “platforms” that ascend from the sea and make up the surface of Oryn for the most part. This nation thrives off of both its mining and its incredibly extensive research of alchemy. Alchemy-made alloys and plants altered by alchemy are known to exist in the nation, and are its major exports. Most people live and mine in the mushroom-like stone formations, but those who live on the main island are on a proper landmass, and don’t live inside of literal rocks. A litany of sky islands are also under the nation’s control, and the caves underneath the shallow waters run deep and twist immensely.
This kingdom is ruled by the NASTY Emperor Remington of Oryn, a
incelmage that wields the magics of Phoenix and Metal.
Cauteria
A vast kingdom of diversity, home to jagged mountains, peaceful plains, and deep caverns; from the most ordinary human, to the most absurd beastborn.
Although they do not have many exports, they are famed for the quality of their metal, their grand architecture, and the advancement of their technology in both weapons and transportation, aided by the imports they receive from other kingdoms. Their smithing is known predominantely for the standardization of weapon parts, allowing weaponry and other wares to be repaired or replaced easily. Cauteria also features the largest and greatest forge in the Emerald Sea, known as the Heart of the Mountain, at the center of Prostasia.
Despite this, their government has a reputation for ineffective leadership, seemingly never able to satisfy the desires of the people. Alongside this, the practice of magic is largely shunned upon, and its awakening is rarely seen in youth. In the wake of the government’s limited role, a number of companies have grown to hold power over entire regions or cities.
Kratomese
-
Kratomese is one of the largest Kingdoms in the Emerald Sea, but definitely not the greatest. With its rolling mountains, and flat plains, the Kingdom is most known for its breathtaking sights of acres of roses, but also their unique jewel-making and marine-based sales.
With seemingly endless caves underground, Kratomese’ caves massive collection of gemstones and ore allow them to sell jewelry, but also create special amulets for adventurers, with a few also used for alchemy. Much of it is yet to be discovered, but what has been dug allows more than enough for Kratomese’ economy. With the overflowing amount, some of it is also used as decoration for buildings or weaponry. On the side, they also use the abundance of roses they grow to create perfumes or bouquets for special moments. An extra branch of their economy also involves the selling of fish, a major part of Citizens’ diet outside of imported produce such as chickens or certain fruit such as melons. Many ships are sent out solely for the purpose of catching fish to feed the Kingdom , but also for catching massive marine wild-life for butchering and selling pieces of (ex. Using the blubber of whales for lamps.).
Many of Kratomese’ buildings consist of marble and stone, with white pillars and brick walls. The center of the island is where the palace of the Kronos family is located. When there isn’t buildings or forest to take up the space, scattered across is an array of yellow, white and (Although, not as many) purple roses representative of the Royals and its Rulers. Due to the geography, many of its farms specifically for crops are found at the edge of the Kingdom, including the much poorer citizens.
Kratomese as a Kingdom has been respected, until a few months ago when its former heir to the throne Lucifer Kronos suddenly disappeared. Off the radar, the Kingdom went into a panic, as the only information of his whereabouts consisted of rebellious activity. Citizens grew frantic, concerned at the sheer possibility that the heir to the Throne might’ve gone mad, and the fear the rest of the family might be as such. Although peace is being held with its two current rulers, the Kingdom has grown uneasy, and as a result causing concern from other Kingdoms in alliance with Kratomese.
Gratens
Gratens, the town that resides at the top of the dungeon, home to around 5,000 people.
The city is a small little village that wraps around the entrance to the dungeon in a donut shape. The majority of the population are either adventurers that have settled down, missionaries from other countries here to collect the dungeons treasures, or laborers that make a profit by putting their skills to use.
Regardless of your past, your family, your status, or anything else that may haunt your soul, you can abandon all of that here. Abandon your past, and give yourself to the unknown far below the earth. The abyss has twelve layers that are always randomized in order, so each adventure is never the same.
What’re you waiting for? Join up and roleplay!
