Johnny Grey- The Crystal Flower, Vitreus Ambages
Status: Mutated| Monstrous/Unholy
Location: Palo Town --10 months later-> Heading straight to Cirrus Island
Backstory: After eating a strange purple shark while the dark clouds rolled in, he was already starting to feel the symptoms of a lost sailor. He used the remaining sanity he had to save the people of Palo Town and his crew. As he fought against it for four days straight, he lost to the insanity as he blindly tried to save citizens that weren’t even real. He met his demise to an atlantean on the eighth day of the apocalypse. Little did anyone know how much of a danger he posed.
Description:
Cocoon Stage:
An odd worm looking creature that lives inside a cave. It’s spine has dug into the ground. The head consist of a shattered arcsphere with a very twisted head. All it does in the cave is shaking and the occasional roars. It covers the entrance of the cave with a wall of emerald. Dubbed the Crystal Flower by survivors.
The bone fragments that belong to him can be separated into 2 categories…
Flowers: If the bone fragment is left unattended, it will bloom into a crystal flower. By default, these flowers suck in magic energy for Grey. He uses these flowers to look outside the cave it is in. It can also make it produce a lot of magic energy, prompting nearby atlanteans to swarm the area.
Eaten: If the bone fragment has been eaten, there is a small chance it will sprout a flower on the atlantean that ate it (the bigger the bone, the greater control he has on the atlantean). A portion of the atlantean’s nutrients will be converted to magic energy and will be absorbed by Grey. If it does, Grey can briefly control these atlanteans whenever he wants to. There are a few exceptions to the control aspect (The Chandelier, The Orca, The Puppet).
Humanoid Form:
After 10 months of solitude, it breaks out of its prison. Its head is forcefully torn open, now resembling a flower with petals of flesh. The center of this flower is a large eye made out of emerald, which is not how it sees things. Its bones that were connected to the spine bend inward, looking more like a human ribcage. Its thin arms and thin legs are completely made out of emerald magic. It is also twice the size of a normal human. It can consume flesh by opening its emerald eye, which is actually a mouth. It constantly drains the magic energy in its surroundings (both humans and atlanteans) as a second source of energy.
It is able to condense enough magic energy into an area to attract lightning strikes. If it were struck by lightning, it would power up instead of burning to a crisp. It knows basic emerald magic spells and is able to imbue a red lightning to these spells, leaving an aftershock effect. Its punches and kicks are constantly imbued in emeralds, and red lightning if it feels like it. It can fire a constant stream of red lightning which increases in power the longer it is fired. It mostly does hand to hand combat but can switch to dual wielding an emerald trident and a red lightning trident if necessary. The most dangerous part of this atlantean is the boost in intelligence. As suggested with its appearance, it has devolved and re-evolved into a human-like creature, which is what’s truly dangerous about this atlantean.

Story: Mike was originally part of Ruby Roger’s crew, he learned Canon fist just so that Ruby wouldnt have to invest into canonballs, after Ruby got infected he abandoned the crew, found a Brig and escaped, fought narwhal and got its horn, got to and climbed stepstones, blablabla found residence at Cirrus island you know the deal, now he sinks Atlantean ships for galleons (imagine bounty hunting but then ships) and brings back anything salvagable

Well it appears to be the time for people to properly put OCs here so I may as well.
Name: Joe Galleon
Current location: Just south of Sandfall Isle, currently travelling towards Shell Island
Insanity: 0 for now
Status: Alive and healthy
Story: He was fairly experienced at sailing in the dark sea before the invasion, so when it started, he thought that he could handle it.
He was wrong.
After fleeing from the initial attack, he hid at the North of the bronze sea, close to the Pelion rift in order to recover and repair the ship. After some time, it was evident that the hiding spot was no longer safe, as atlanteans would ambush the ship from underwater. Joe set out to find any island that had survived up to this point that would be a safe place to stay. During this journey, there were frequent attacks from atlantean ships. His ship was durable enough to survive any encounter, but more of the crew were lost with each fight. These ship encounters made it difficult to properly search the islands, so if any survivors were hiding they would not be noticed.
After some time, he approached Palo town, and heard the cries for help from the now infected Mayor Tilly. He chose to avoid it as loud cries would likely attract atlanteans to the already damaged crew, and a place where people were safe would not have calls for help. Instead, he chose to sail towards limestone key, as there was a fight happening but no ships in sight. There he found his rival, McFarland fighting an atlantean, seemingly stranded and forced to fend for himself. Joe decided to help, and the two rivals came to an agreement to work together to increase the chance of them both surviving.
Continuing the search for an inhabited island, the ship made a stop at Sandfall Isle because Compton, the navigator, said that he could sense something there. This became an ambush, as atlanteans appeared out of the water and out of the sand, with some of them attacking those who had stepped foot on the island, while others took control of the ship and started trying to sail it away. This caused the crew to be split up, with half on the island and half on the ship. Joe did manage to regain control over the ship, but by the time he had returned to Sandfall, several members of the crew on the ship and on the island had died and the rest were injured. The ship with its damaged crew departed from the island and turned towards Shell Island, hoping that an island of that size had survived well enough to be safe.

That concludes what I’ve come up with at the moment. It was a little longer than I expected but it does cover most of what has happened so far.
