Can someone explain how exactly shadow magic hurts you?

You are getting hit with the absence of light??? How does that do dmg??

The power of the shadows are draining the life force out of you

It’s probably just a physical manifestation of darkness, or yeah what Cosmos said. The fact that Shadow did DOT in Arcane supports this too.

The cleansing power of light cleanses the life force out of you?

a flashlight is technically a light weapon

Bro, I just turned this flashlight off therefore it should be slower and do more damage than light ez :sunglasses:

A flashlight is actually equinox, the flashlight itself blocks light creating shadow while the front emits light.

a lser is one too :sunglasses:

well we do have laser weapons tech so i suppose so

pogger gaming

The future is starting now, what have you done world

Same reason water and ink do damage, it’s magic energy formed into an attack meant to be harmful, it reacts with the magic energy in your body and causes pain

Wait what if you have no magic energy inside of you. Like non wizards or simply a wizard who ran out and didn’t charge

Other than that I get it, it’s just the explanation that’s a bit confusing

So it is magic energy with your harmful intent in order to physically hurt someone.
I also guess it doesn’t fully materialize. or else fire would burn anything with harmful magic power. but instead it goes away in seconds

Every person has magic energy, just that some aren’t able to do anything with it

that explains all the rp’s that go “I was a kid without magic, but deep down. i had the power to make EXPLOSIONS-” and all that.
seems legit.
(P.S no offense to the roleplayers who make stories those are actually fire keep up the good work.)
