Every Good Suggestion For Full-Release/Post-Full-Release

Serves as a thread of suggestions for Vetex’s convenience when he chooses to look at suggestions, or if testers and developers want to recommend him this list.

NOTE: These are tweaked slightly to sound more reasonable and have a better chance of getting added.

:red_circle: Tier 1 – Game-Changing Systems (Major Overhauls or Expansions)

  1. Clan building in Arcane Odyssey currently feels underwhelming and limited, especially once structures like farms and defenses are maxed out. To improve this, I propose adding systems such as population, happiness, jobs, and civilian quests, which would give purpose to decorations, unlock better productivity, and add more rewarding progression. Different islands could specialize in unique resources, enabling inter-island trade and creating more variety in clan strategies and builds. To make this system more accessible, solo players could still participate through individual builds, and a war system could be introduced to add depth and competitive goals for clans. (HUGE NOTE: THIS WOULD REALLY ONLY WORK FOR PVE CLANS)
  1. This questline introduces a Dragon Faction hidden within a new Dark Sea cluster, where players earn the trust of ancient dragons through challenging tasks like slaying sea monsters, delivering treasure, and exterminating cave threats. Completing the quest grants the ability to communicate with dragons, eventually allowing players to bond with and raise a young dragon companion that grows stronger through combat and special feeding tasks. The companion dragon can aid in battle, evolve over time, and if balanced properly might even become a rideable travel option for high-level players, offering a unique reward for dedication and mastery.
  1. “The Ritual of The Witch” is a high-risk, high-reward Dark Sea event that lets players actively summon Hecate and change their First Magic by gathering six Sealed Connection Fragments guarded by Monstrous Atlanteans. Unlike the passive, RNG-heavy method of finding Hecate’s Essence, this ritual appeals to skilled and daring players who prefer a more strategic and engaging route, while preserving the challenge and rarity of magic changes. It also reinforces Hecate’s mythic status through ritualistic lore, offering both narrative depth and gameplay variety without undermining the existing system.

:orange_circle: Tier 2 – Core Gameplay Improvements (Strong Feature Additions)

  1. Introduce a “Bane” system that lets players add damage bonuses (20-50%) to weapons or magic/fighting styles against specific enemy types such as sharks, Atlanteans, Sea monsters, or flying creatures to enhance the PvE experience without affecting boss fights. This would give players more build variety, help with tougher NPC encounters, and add long-term goals through farming and customizing loadouts.
  1. I propose adding faction-specific bulletins Grand Navy reports and Assassin Syndicate bulletins that deliver strategic, role-based information to faction members through the mailbox system, enhancing immersion and teamwork. These reports would exclude general news (like sea monsters or executions) and instead provide useful intel like bounty sightings, high-value targets, and island activity to encourage faction-aligned gameplay. This system would deepen faction identity, improve cooperation, and add meaningful objectives, though care must be taken to avoid promoting toxic behavior through excessive tracking.
  1. The rival system is a unique and immersive feature, but it lacks proper introduction, so I suggest integrating it into the main story by having a recurring criminal NPC first appear during the Iris questline, gradually evolving into the player’s rival. This would guide new players to the bounty board system naturally, adding depth to worldbuilding, character progression, and gameplay without feeling grindy. While it may require some balancing and dialogue work, it would enhance player engagement and retention through a personalized narrative experience.

:yellow_circle: Tier 3 – Niche or Focused Enhancements (Small but High Impact for Some Players)

  1. I suggest expanding hazard and terrain interaction mechanics to create more dynamic combat possibilities, giving terrain destruction a real gameplay purpose. Examples include hazards like heat related magics colliding with sand to make glass, thermo fist user getting hit with heat magics effects then have faster charger, or powder fist shots combining with explosive barrels to produce an even bigger explosion. This would introduce build and synergy variety through creative environmental and natural interactions.
  1. Players should be able to choose which items appear in their backpack, with settings to control what gets added automatically. This would restore lost features like gem rack collection building and item visibility while maintaining performance, using a simple toggle system for easy customization.
  1. Consider adding a guiding arc line to the axe throw to show its trajectory and impact point, making it easier to aim and giving it a more skill-based, Castlevania-style feel. You could also enhance the impact by adding a small explosion radius for better area effect (a visual hitbox).

:green_circle: Tier 4 – Minor but Helpful UI/UX Tweaks

  1. I propose adding the ability to exclude item tags in the inventory filter—clicking a filter box twice could show an “X” to hide items with that tag (e.g. modified or enchanted items). This would make mass-selling unneeded items much easier, and alternatively, a new “Generic” filter could be added to show only unmodified, unenchanted items for quick cleanup.

It doesn’t change anything about crafting access, that’s done through the new UI. I’m hoping pouches cover this suggestion.

Vetex is a million times more likely to look at the actual suggestions category, and even that only happens when a full moon, solstice and solar eclipse align

that’s a shame, the thread is honestly well made.
