glory does sound like a pvp thing, but infamy works better as a pvp stat not to mention that it would have the least impact on how infamy works already since people would prefer to keep their infamy in most cases, especially on lb
where do you get this idea? the idea is that youāre still giving pve clans some infamy for the same reason you give pve players renown
dude imagine in real life thereās 1 ram part you have in on your rowboat and its super small but now you move it to your brig and it magically scales iām saying thatās ridiculous basically when iām saying it doesnāt make sense
when ramming try go for the sides and curve, itāll leave you open for the cannons though so use your own, iām tryna say we can expect bigger rams and are rams even used irl for pirates? iām willing to think through it i just saw that easy flaw in your idea that things dont magically get bigger and then shrink its not a magical ram ( pun i know )

remember that all current infamy has its original source as ALL through islands ( and other pve elements ) and it has moved around via hunting and island capturing
iām pointing out people wonāt like the name glory for something pve and it isnāt a good word for what you tryna say
for the second part yeah i worded that weirdly i was tryna say just leave it how things are now and open up a new thing for pvp called valor and remove hunting and island capturing for infamy gain ( so it now gives valor), it achieves the same result as what you said and is less work to do right?
leaderboards are also an issue you didnt mention for pve players as they now have glory and the whole leaderboard is now based on pvp ( infamy in your case omg weāre using different words to mean the same thing )
try reword your idea just dont make it so complicated with all these half gains and stuff imagine your suggestion in the game and imagine all the player base dealing with it, the grinders, the noobs and so on
the idea was to not have leaderboards for glory at all, because that would put a target on pvp playerās heads even if they donāt lose any glory on death, and since glory can only be gained and not lost it would become a āwhoās the biggest sweatsā competition
besides that, separating stats for pvp and pve will help, and vetex has expressed interest in letting pve clans have access to the clan building systems

nvm this concept sucks since it literally removes the purpose of fighting styles being close ranged. Since this is just like a mage that casts spells with fists, Ill add a new rule: Shadow boxing attacks (or parts of the attacks) dont apply until they are finished and a player walks into them after
I saw an idea for shadow boxing on the fandom and wanted to bring it here. Shadow boxing is a unique lost fighting style cause all of the moves require you to predict where your opponent is gonna go. You donāt wear any gloves or have a stance. Instead your player is the same when equipping the fighting style and all your moves are small swipes/punches
Moves would create a neutral snare like effect with Striking Gale type shockwaves expelling from it. After this, the attack will leave the area with a visible filter marking it as a hazard. Once the trap is triggered, the attack will happen again (with an afterimage controlling it) at 1.125x speed.The area will remain a hazard for a solid minute before happening again and dealing damage to everyone around it. In order to make this balanced, the hazard area slowly decreases in size as there are less players near it and will decrease slower if players are close. Some attacks wonāt have a size decrease at all.
Crash
Will not have an attack cone at all. Instead, it sends a moving force forward, and will activate if the opponent touches the end of the crash range or is in the center of the force. This attack will not have a gradual size decreaseSmash
